The Individual Performance Profile greatly helped me improve as I went through different ATI assessments by showcasing me the areas I need more focus on. I have gotten more efficient in sectioning out key points in the question that would help me prioritize to find the correct answer. I have noticed I don’t need to spend too much time reading every single word that sometimes ends up being a distractor. Working on multitudes of ATI’s throughout the semester also helped immensely. Many of the content being similar or the same helps cue in important topics and themes that help me answer the questions more intuitively. I still try my best to try and find time for work life balance because I have learned over the years that prioritizing my mental health definitely needs to be at the top of the list. It is difficult to figure it out a lot of the time, if I’m being honest, but it is definitely an ongoing skill I’ve been trying to improve. Having an appropriate time to relax makes all the difference with producing quality work and a clearer mind. Being mindful and knowing when to take breaks alongside working through problems in an efficient way can help me in preparing through licensure and the transition into practice. Having the awareness of my shortcomings and using that to fuel improvement is an important skill to have as I grow throughout my career.
